Oprah and President Obama: Christmas at the White House

A prime time special for the holidays will feature Oprah Winfrey and President Barack Obama and is scheduled to air on ABC in mid-December. The special, "Christmas at the White House", marks the first time Oprah will interview Obama since he became president.

"Christmas at the White House" will air Sunday, December 13, at 10 p.m. Oprah Winfrey, who has never endorsed a presidential candidate before, was a strong supporter of Obama during his presidential campaign.

The National Christmas Tree lighting ceremony is scheduled for 5pm on December 3 at the White House, ten days prior to the "Christmas at the White House" special. This year, you can view the lighting of The National Christmas Tree via a live webcast.

Go to thenationaltree.org on December 3rd at 5pm ET to watch the entire show. Every performance, presenter and holiday festivity from the ceremony will be broadcast online for you to view from wherever you are.

The tree will be lit and on December 13, "Christmas at the White House" will feature an Oprah interview with the President, and a behind the scenes glimpse into life at the White House as Christmas preparations are underway. An interview with the first couple to tour the White House will also be included.
