Biggest Loser Finale Season 8: Finalists Race to Finish Line

The Biggest Loser Season 8 is about to come to a close. Tuesday night's show took us inside the personal lives of the four finalists: Amanda,
Danny, Liz and Rudy. The four remaining contestants were sent home for 60 days but not without massive tasks to undertake including running in a marathon.

The front runners for the Biggest Loser Finale 2009 are Danny and Rudy. This means that Amanda and Liz are counting on the public vote to keep them on for the final show. The public vote for the 3rd finalist will be revealed early in the last show, Tuesday, December 8, 2009 on NBC.

During the finalists' 60 days at home they ran The Biggest Loser marathon. Rudy was the first across the finish line, with Amanda close behind. Danny and Liz made it through a bit slower but crossed the finish line.

In episode 12 last night, the last show before the live finale, the weigh-in revealed that both Amanda Arlauskas and Liz Young both shed 16 pounds each but they were no match for the men. Rudy Pauls shed 43 pounds, equating to 14.53% of his body weight, while Danny Cahill dropped an astonishing 59 pounds, or 20.49%.

With a week to go before the winner of The Biggest Loser Season 8 on the finale show, it will be interesting to see how the vote goes. Amanda is getting quite a bit of press but many are inclined to believe that it doesn't matter which of the women makes it to the finals -- eyes are on Rudy and Danny for the big $250,000 Biggest Loser prize.

Biggest Loser Season 8 Finale: The two hour show starts at 8pm EST, Tuesday, December 8 on NBC.
