The Biggest Loser Season 7 contestant Kristin Steede and her husband are expecting their first baby according to US magazine. Steede was the largest woman in Biggest Loser history to compete on the show in 2009. Kristin announced the good news on her personal blog.
When Kristin became a contestant on The Biggest Loser Season 7, she weighed 360 pounds. She trained with Bob Harper at the Biggest Loser ranch as part of the NBC series. Steede says her pregnancy would not have been possible had she not lost the weight on The Biggest Loser.
"I truly believe with all of my heart that my weight was the one thing that prevented us from starting our family sooner," Steede told US magazine. "I also believe that if it were not for the Biggest Loser I would not be experiencing this miracle today."
On Kristin's personal blog her excitement is contagious, "WOW….WOW WOW WOW. I can hardly believe it. We are going to have a baby! Do you know what it is like to want something so bad for so long it almost feels as if it’s never going to happen?"
Many well-wishers on Twitter and Kristin's Facebook page called her inspirational and congratulated her on the pregnancy announcement.
