Monday Night Holiday Shows Fill TV Schedule

The month of December is full of family holiday television specials. Monday night, December 7, seems to be kicking off the season with plenty of choices for families to watch. Old classics and new made for television movies give parents a great variety of shows to select from if they can pull away from NFL Monday Night Football.

Most shows are rated "G" or "PG" and start around 7pm EST. This isn't the only night that these holiday shows are on -- the weeks leading up to Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and New Year's Day are loaded with holiday specials on all television networks.

Here are the popular holiday movies and specials that networks are broadcasting on Monday, December 7.

ABC Family (7:00 p.m.): 'Twas the Night Before Christmas – TV-G

USA (7:00 p.m. Eastern): Elf - Rated PG for some mild rude humor and language.

ABC Family (7:30 p.m.): Cranberry Christmas- TV-G

ABC Network (8:00 p.m. Eastern / 7:00 p.m. central): Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town -TV-G

ABC Family (8:00 p.m.): Unaccompanied Minors- PG

AMC (8 p.m.): All I Want for Christmas- PG

FOX (8 p.m.): Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special

WGN America (8 p.m.): The Man Who Saved Christmas- TV-PG
