
Mike Cinqmars was the pioneer of freestyle motocross. Cinqmars died last night at the age of 31 for reasons still unknown. An autopsy is scheduled for next week, according to TMZ. At the first Freestyle event at the 1999 X Games, Cinqmars took home the silver medal. His motocross skills were most recognized when he started filming with the MTV show "Senseless Acts of Video."
On the MTV show, Cinqmars took to jumping over his two-story house in Apple Valley, California and made a his name in the sport. However, filming his own piece "35/01 My Trip" ultimately ended his career. Cinqmars suffered a crash during filming that broke his back and put an end to his motocross career.
Although he had to stop racing, Mike Cinqmars held out hope that he would race again. He was interviewed by MotoWorld and talked about his accident but he also spoke about wanting to come back to motocross racing.
Mike Cinqmars never got the chance to come back and race again. However, his talent has inspired many to learn the sport with a goal to be as great at freestyle motocross pioneer Mike Cinqmars.
