Boston Red Sox Tickets Sales are Overpriced in 2010

Boston Red Sox tickets for the 2010 season are now on sale and fans are struggling to buy them in more ways than one. Tickets are not only expensive for the Boston Red Sox 2010 season, they are ridiculously overpriced. Still, fans want to come out to Fenway Park to see Martinez, Youkilis, Pedroia, Ellsbury, Ortiz and some new blood that's coming to Boston for the 2010 MLB season.

The online wait is painfully long for Red Sox 2010 tickets but not as painful as the price. A family can no longer afford to go to a ballgame and only the wealthy seem to be able to scoop up the good seats at Fenway Park. If you're thinking of using Red Sox tickets as a stocking stuffer this Christmas, that's going to set you back some big bucks.

The cheapest tickets, if you can get them, are upper bleacher seats.M Mind you, these are UPPER bleacher seats ... bring oxygen. Never mind that, you may as well buy a 52" television for yourself and watch from home. However, if someone buys you a pair of binoculars for Christmas, you might be able to watch the game from these $12 seats.

It's likely you won't want to make the trip to the food stands for a pricey beer if you're in these $12 Red Sox bleacher seats ... it might take you half the game to get there.

What are the other "lower-priced" ticket options for the Red Sox season 2010? They go as high as $52 for infield grandstand seats. Some other "bargain seats" aren't even seats ... it's standing room only.

Infield Grandstand $52
Right Field Box $52
Right Field Roof Box $52
Right Field Roof Terrace $50
Green Monster Standing Room $35
Outfield Grandstand $30
Budweiser Right Field Roof Deck Standing Room $30
Right Field Roof Box Standing Room $30
Right Field Roof Terrace Standing Room $30
Bleachers $28
Coca Cola Corner Standing Room Only $25
Pavilion Standing Room $25
Standing Room $20
Upper Bleachers $12

Chances are, many of these seats are sold out already. Reports of people being put in a "virtual waiting room" online are rampant on the internet. This means they may get tickets ... or may not. It's Red Sox ticket roulette. Then you have to mortgage your house to buy them.

How about the upper-echelon tickets that most families can't afford but allow you to actually SEE the Red Sox play? They are just not affordable at all once you pay $25 or more for parking, buy everyone a hot dog for $8 a piece and share a beer (well, the kids can get $5 juice boxes).

Dugout Box (Infield, D29-D61) $328
EMC Club $309
Dugout Box(Extended, D9-D16, D72-D80) $274
State Street Home Plate Pavilion Club $220
State Street Pavilion Club $170
Green Monster $165
Dugout Box (Canvas Alley, D3-D7) $137
Field Box $130
Budweiser Right Field Roof Deck $115

That Best Buy deal for a 52" TV is looking better and better, isn't it?

However, the Boston Red Sox still think that there's a lot of money to be thrown around out there. For a mere $2500 you can have limo pick you and 9 of your closest buddies. You will get ten of the newly constructed Right Field Roof Box seats to a 2010 Boston Red Sox game and a ride, as long as you're within 50 miles of Fenway. Otherwise you're going to pay a small fee.

Baseball is the all-American game. The Boston Red Sox play in historic Fenway Park which makes the game even better. However, with prices that are just so far out of the park that most fans can't afford to go, it's become the game that only the elite and deep-pocketed fans can buy tickets for.
