Santa Delivers Gifts to Needy Children on Harley Davidson Motorcycle

Santa Claus is leading a parade of over 1,500 Harley-Davidson motorcycle riders on Sunday, December 13 in Glendale, California. Riding on his own Harley, Santa is heading to the Fred Jordan Mission on Skid Row to bring toys to hundreds of underprivileged children. Harley-Davidson motorcycles and motorcyclists in the parade are decorated as colorful reindeer, sleighs and toys and carrying Mrs. Claus, elves, Santa's helpers and small pets.

Skid Row, officially known as Central City East, is an extremely poor area of Downtown Los Angeles. The area contains one of the largest stable populations of homeless persons in the United States. People passing through this area immediately used to see cardboard boxes and camping tents lining the sidewalks.

Hundreds of needy children will receive an brand-new unwrapped toy from Santa and his crew of motorcyclists. For many of the children, especially this year, this is the only toy they will receive this Christmas.

This fabulous gift of Christmas giving is sponsored by the Golden State Harley Owners Group, Oliver Shokouh, owner of Harley-Davidson of Glendale; Glendale City; Abate Local #1; and the Glendale Police and Fire Departments.

Santa and the 1,500 Harley riders began the day with a pancake breakfast at Harley Davidson of Glendale and then started their spirited holiday ride to the Fred Jordan Mission on Skid Row. It's a great day for the children of Skid Row in Los Angeles.
