
Charlie Sheen, the star of Two and a Half Men, was arrested Christmas morning on domestic violence charges. According to the Pitkin County Sheriff's Department in Aspen, Colorado, Sheen was booked for second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief.
Carlos Irwin Estevez, who goes by the name Charlie Sheen, spent Christmas in jail and will remain there until his court appearance. He is being held with no bond as Colorado law mandates a protection order between those arrested for domestic violence and their victims.
Being involved in the wrong side of the law is nothing new to Sheen. When he was 16, Sheen was busted for marijuana possession on his mother's birthday when he was 16. At 17, he was arrested for illegally charging merchandise from stolen credit card receipts.
On May 20, 1998, Sheen tried injecting cocaine, accidentally giving himself an overdose. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and Charlie was sent to rehab.
The domestic violence incident on Christmas day 2009 happened when there was an alleged scuffle with his wife, Brooke Mueller. Charlie Sheen, 44 married Brooke Mueller (also known as Brooke Allen), a real estate investor on May 30, 2008. This was the third marriage for Sheen and the first for Mueller. The couple's twins, Bob and Max, were born on March 14, 2009.
