Domino's Pizza deliver drivers are more than likely hoping for good weather on New Year's Eve because they are going to be busy. As more people stay in to celebrate New Year's Eve, the busier the pizza delivery business will get. This year, Domino's expects to sell approximately 19.1 million pizza slices in the United States alone. That equates to 2.3 million pizzas.

Who eats pizza on New Year's Eve? Apparently a lot of people. Domino's is planning to keep count on New Year's Eve of the number of pizzas, sandwiches and pasta dishes that head out into the delivery cars. While everyone is counting down, Domino's will be counting up the numbers in hopes of a record high number of deliveries as we close out 2009.

Domino's Pizza, Inc. is an international fast food pizza delivery corporation headquartered just outside Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States and was founded by Tom Monaghan.

There are currently about 8,500 corporate and franchised stores in 55 countries, including all 50 US states. It was the second-largest pizza chain behind Pizza Hut in the United States when it went public in 2004 for just under $15 a share.

In 2009, Domino's made more choices to their menu including Oven Baked Sandwiches, Bread-Bowl Pasta Dishes, Chocolate Lava Crunch Cakes. While these items as well as breadsticks and wings are popular, pizza is still the biggest item ordered at Domino's Pizza.

If cooking is out and convenience is in for New Year's Eve, then it's likely you might see many Domino's Pizza delivery vehicles out and about in your neighborhood as people order a few pizzas to ring in the New Year.
