Bristol Palin fights Levi Johnston for full custody of son Tripp

The custody battle over baby Tripp continues between Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston. Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol Palin, is attempting to get full legal and physical custody of their one year old son So far, the judge isn't siding with Palin and has sided with Johnston in the ongoing custody case. Levi Johnston has asked that the case be in the public spotlight citing the fact that Sarah Palin may try to use her power to influence the case.

Bristol Palin claims that having the case open to the public would be best for the baby, Tripp. She has also blasted Johnston for appearing in Playgirl. Palin, 19, has also stated in public interviews that the baby's father, Levi Johnston, has not spent any alone time with the baby since he was born a year ago.

According to an article in the Anchorage Daily News, "Levi is not yet mature enough to take on significant parental responsibilities." She also is seeking court-ordered child support.

So far, on December 23, the judge Alaska Superior Court Judge Kari Kristiansen of Palmer ruled that Palin didn't provide evidence that her son would be harmed by publicity. The judge ordered all the sealed records opened.
