There are some guidelines in order to get a free ticket to a Walt Disney Theme Park:
You must be at least 18 to sign up. You may only sign up a maximum of 8 members of your household. Children must be at least 6 to participate in the program. One ticket per person, regardless of the number of times you volunteer. Program begins January 1, 2010 and continues until tickets are distributed or until December 15, 2010, whichever occurs first.
Where can you volunteer?
The Disney site has a search tool that brings up volunteer locations in your area, or any area served by the zip code you enter. There is a great variety of opportunities including Health & Human Service, Environment & Wildlife, Arts & Culture and many other topics that will be of interest to a broad base of people.
(Searching in my area, I found amazing opportunities for my family including cleaning up a wildlife preserve, playing Scrabble at a Hospice center and more.)
Volunteer opportunities are only located in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada, and volunteers must have a residence in one of those locations.
What are you waiting for?
This is a win-win situation for everyone. Teach children (6 and up only) how to participate as a family and help others. Receive a ticket upon completion for a free day at a Disney theme park. A wonderful reward.
