The 2010 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS)opens on January 16 with the Electric Avenue exhibit and the MEDC EcoXperience. The EcoXperience will feature a quarter-mile indoor ride-and-drive test track surrounded by landscaped and forested terrain with a variety of electric vehicles provided by various manufacturers. Electric Avenue will showcase electric vehicles and technology of both traditional automakers and innovative entrepreneurs.

Electric Avenue, sponsored by The Dow Chemical Company, is a 37,000-square-foot feature on the main floor of the 2010 show and will feature nearly 20 vehicles as well as symposiums and special events on the adjacent NAIAS stage.

Back for the second year at the NAIAS is the MEDC EcoXperience. This popular part of the show give attendees the ability to ride in the green vehicles on display on Electric Avenue and throughout the auto show on the indoor course. The set-up at the NAIAAS takes those interested for a ride through natural surroundings creating an outdoor backdrop for this green automotive experience.
