According to unconfirmed report in the New York Post, the Yankee's shortstop and his girlfriend, Minka Kelly will be married on November 5 at the Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York.
Oheka Castle is a gorgeous turn-of-the-century French-style chateau, on a sprawling estate in Long Island. In December 2009, pop star Kevin Jonas was married at the Oheka Castle in a lavish wedding ceremony and reception. Chances are Derek Jeter's wedding will be spectacular as well.
There was a rumor in the summer of 2009 that Derek Jeter, 35, became engaged to actress Minka Kelly, 29. There hasn't been much talk about the possible nuptials and probably with good cause -- Jeter may just want to be out of the public limelight for his wedding.
Derek Jeter is considered to be one of the best players of his generation. He is the all-time hits leader among shortstops and his .317 career batting average through the 2009 season ranks as the fifth-highest among active players.
Although a member of the staff at the Oheka Castle denied that Jeter has a wedding planned in November, 2010, the reporter for the New York Post posed as a bride and saw "Jeter Wedding" noted in the booking calendar for November 5.
The New York Yankees star player, Derek Jeter, may not be an eligible bachelor for long if the rumors are true but it won't jeopardize the World Series -- the rumored wedding date is at least two days after the World Series ends.
