If you were trying to get one of the coupons for a free Sea Cuisine Seafood Entree today, they didn't last long. The word spread quickly throughout the Internet and 5,000 available free coupons were given away in a matter of minutes. High Liner Foods, the company that owns Sea Cuisine, is giving away $1 off coupons as a consolation to those who didn't get the freebie.
Free giveaways are the latest way for companies to promote their products. With Twitter, Facebook and other social networking sites providing plenty of feedback for promotions such as free product coupons, it's a smart marketing move.
Sea Cuisine also has a $200 "Dinner on Us" contest going on if you log into their website. If you didn't get the free Sea Cuisine coupon, you might win $200 worth of their products which include frozen seafood entrees priced from about $6.99, including prepared salmon and talapia. The Sea Cuisine products are available in most major grocery stores as well as warehouse-type grocery retailers.
This isn't the first time Sea Cuisine has offered coupons for free seafood entrees. The giveaway is always successful with most who have tried to get the coupons noting that the site needs constant refreshes to get the coupon.
As of 5pm ET, logging into the site was nearly impossible but it may be worth a try to try back later for the $1 off coupon and to enter the $200 product giveaway.
