YouTube Down Causes Buzz on Twitter

YouTube was down for about 30 minutes Tuesday morning and panic seemed to set in among fans of the popular video sharing website. Twitter was buzzing with rumors of a possible cyber attack when people trying to access the YouTube site got this message: "Http/1.1 Service Unavailable" or "500 Internal Server error".

YouTube service has been restored and traffic to the site is back to normal but of course, there is rumor that the recent issues with Chinese hackers on Google and attacks on Baidu were to blame for the brief outage.

Twitter was full of the usual rumors and small bits of facts:

mb2000inc: RT @MarketingYP: Reading a Good Post YouTube Down: Another Cyber Attack?: YouTube is currently experiencing some downtime issues

pinot: "Of course YouTube is down! It's blocked in this office by IT, moron!" Ah.. right

As of now, the issue is resolved and lots of rumors as to why YouTube was down. Could be just a YouTube glitch, but it's more fun to speculate.
