Super Bowl XLIV: The Colts vs The Saints at The Sun Life Stadium

Super Bowl XLIV is just weeks away and will pit the AFC champion Indianapolis Colts against the NFC champion New Orleans Saints to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 2009 season. The Superbowl will be broadcast on CBS on February 7, 2010. It will be the 40th annual championship game of the National Football League.

The final score for the AFC championship game was the Indianapolis Colts 30, New York Jets 17. The NFC championship game ended at approximately 10:15pm EST with the final score ending up New Orleans Saints 31, Minnesota Vikings 28.

The game will be played at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The start time for the game is 6:30pm EST with a special edition of The NFL Today pregame show scheduled to be televised before the big game.

Half Time Entertainment

The NFL announced in November, 2009 that The Who will perform at the halftime show of Super Bowl XLIV. Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will rock the halftime show that will be broadcast worldwide in more than 230 countries and territories.

Superbowl Commericals

As always, commercials are a big part of any Superbowl game. Anheuser-Busch InBev and CareerBuilder are advertising "regulars" when it comes to the Superbowl. However, Pepsi and FedEx will not be buying advertising time for the big game of the year. It will be the first time that in 23 years that Pepsi will not be running an ad during the Superbowl.

Internet domain registrar GoDaddy will be back for its sixth year with what will likely be another "racy" ad to drive traffic to its popular website.

Get ready for some football. The countdown to Superbowl XLIV is underway.
