Google Chrome 3.0 is now available for download as the search giant continues to expand its line of products.

Google unveiled Chrome 3.0 yesterday in its latest attempt to pry some of the Web browsing business away from Microsoft (Internet Explorer), Mozilla (Firefox) and Apple (Safari).

Google Chrome 3.0 is available only for Windows. The search giant has stated that it wants to have a 5 percent market share in the Web browser business within a year and 10 percent within two years.

Google has a steep climb ahead of itself to get those numbers with Chrome 3.0. Here are the latest market share data according to Net Applications:

Internet Explorer: 66.97 percent
Firefox: 22.98 percent
Safari: 4.07 percent
Chrome: 2.84 percent
Opera: 2.04 percent
Netscape: 0.49 percent

Among the improvements that Google Chrome 3.0 brings, according to the search giant, are: faster surfing, improved performance with JavaScript, a customizable tabs page, fewer security problems and an easier way to embed videos.
