Seattle Symphony's Tiny Tots series presents a program of works by Kodály and Orff, specifically tailored to children and families. The Tiny Tots series is designed for children from birth to age 5 and has been carefully planned for young patrons-from the length of the concerts to their interactive and age-specific content. The series offers five different programs in the 2006-2007 season of which this is the third.
Performances will take place on Friday, February 9, at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. and Saturday, February 10, at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. & 1 p.m.
Performances are packed full of musical play, stories and songs led by early-childhood educators Lisa and Linda of Identical Harmony. Identical Harmony received the prestigious 2002 Parents' Choice Gold Award for their recording with The Canadian Brass, Symphony Shine Time! Focus on the Brass. The Parents' Choice Foundation is a non-profit consumer guide to children's media. Local young musicians will also perform in the concerts and pre-concert lobby activities.
Tiny Tots performances are offered as both Friday morning series or Saturday morning series. The remaining Friday morning performances are at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. on February 9, April 27 and June 15. The Saturday morning performances are at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. or 1 p.m. on February 10, April 28 and June 16. -- www.seattlesymphony.org
