It was evident that Gourmet Magazine's editor had little to no idea what was about to happen when she got ready to go to work today. Although Gourmet had some recent difficulties with advertisers, the magazine's circulation of nearly a million copies, had never been higher.
Former L.A. Times Food editor and restaurant critic, Ruth Reichl, said she found out the news only this morning. "I can't talk about it now, it's too raw. I've got to pack up my office," says Reichl.
