Top Chef fans were upset last Wednesday when they tuned in to see season 6, episode 7, and find something else playing. If the disappointed and outraged comments left on Twitter is any indication of die-hard devotion, then you can just imagine how the rest of Top Chef's loyal fans felt when they missed their favorite culinary reality show. Everyone can breathe a sigh of relief. Top Chef returns tonight for their regularly scheduled cooking.
Playing the Slots - The chefs are at the mercy of the slots in episode 7. As pregnant Top Chef host Padma watches over the slot machine, the chefs pull the handle, and whatever three culinary keywords come around, determines the chef's ingredients for the Quickfire Challenge.
Top Chef Keywords
In the video preview, Padma gives the chefs their instructions, then lets them go at it – fussing, complaining and finally cooking.
Padma says, "So, you have your keywords, you have 30 minutes, and full use of anything in the Top Chef pantry. Your time starts now!" The cheftestants go running.
Eli grabs mushrooms for his dish, as does Bryan. Eli doesn't really care what people are thinking about him, he's looking out for number one – himself.
Michael V remarks, "I've done French food, I've done Greek food, I've done Latin food, I do a lot of different cuisines, but I've never cooked Asian food before."
Ashley says, "I've never really cooked Middle Eastern food, it's definitely not my area of expertise at all. But, I'm really glad I was in the top 4 of the last 2 challenges, so I'm feeling a little more confidant, and I'm ready for whatever happens next."
Whatever happens on Top Chef, it's sure to be deliciously hectic, as usual.
