Cake Boss Returns to TLC for Season 2

In season one, Buddy amazed the culinary world with his crazy decorated cakes and cannolis. During that time, Buddy's devoted foodies fell in love with the show and demanded more. Some of the challenging cakes the bakery was asked to make, were a huge roulette table cake, a bi-plane, a lobsterbake-themed cake, and a fire engine cake.

"TLC as a network wanted to challenge me," says Buddy Valastro. "But it's also the fact that people have seen the cake, and now they have even stranger requests. They don't want a cake. They want a cake that'll spin, talk and move!"

"In the bakery, we’re really up to maximum capacity now. We do probably 50 to 60 cakes a weekend, and anywhere from 300 to 600 birthday cakes," the cake artist says continues.

Buddy Valastro works the family business, Carlos Bakery, with his mother, sisters and extended family. It's not always easy working family, but they all pull it off with lots of humor, and plenty of drama.

• Maddalena Castano (Madeline) The second eldest daughter of Buddy Sr. and Mary.
