Regis and Kelly strutted their stuff on stage, changing into approximately 20 costumes during their 2009 Halloween show. Not all segments were done at once, some were taped ahead of time. Still, they had the audience roaring with laughter with a Jon and Kate Gosselin skit, and a scene from "The Real Housewives of New Jersey".
They also did a Michael Jackson Thriller Tribute complete with a costumed dance team dressed in tattered clothes and dancing to Thriller. The billowy smoke around the dance floor, lighting and of course the music, made everything look surreal. Kelly Ripa as Michael Jackson, dressed in red pants, red jacket, white socks and black shoes. The make-up and hair topped off the pop star's look.
Not to be outdone, Live with Regis and Kelly's executive producer, Michael Gelman, was the infamous "Balloon Boy" aka Falcon Heene. His father, Richard Heene, who has been blamed for the Balloon Boy hoax, was played by program director, Art Moore.
