Jim Carrey Releases His Seriously Bizarre Website

Jim Carrey's Bizarre Website

Jim Carrey's timing couldn't be better. Disney's 'A Christmas Carol' opens in time for Christmas, and coincides with his perfectly crazy and deliciously weird website, aptly named "Jim Carrey". The blockbuster holiday movie opens in theaters nationwide on November 6th.

"Jim Carrey", the website, is an unbelievable multi-media extravaganza chronicling his life work in photos, videos, snapshots, music and interviews. Check out his Twitter account, and sign into the Official Jim Carrey Website for more fun.

Jim Carrey: The Website
Jim Carrey's website is unlike anything seen before. The graphics are life-like and truly amazing. There are prompts here and there, look for them with your cursor, and then click. The flash player images it brings up are a movie screen that quickly goes into Jim Carrey's new movie, Disney's "A Christmas Carol". Watch the entire trailer, then go on to watch clips and stills of just about every movie he's made, by scrolling down an old-fashioned movie reel, or even more creatively, by pulling his finger.

The Biography Gallery is an eyeball — a huge, full-screen eyeball. It has blood-shot veins, and it seemingly looks right into you. It moves as if it's breathing, the pupil and iris growing and pulsing as creepy old-time black and white theater music is played in the background. When clicked on, it brings up images and photos of his childhood, girlfriends, wives, movies and a complete biography in the middle of the eye.

When done with that, click on another prompt that will bring you to Jim Carrey's Twitter account. He only follows 3 people, so don't be offended if you're one of over 22,000 members following him. Another screen brings you to a large satellite dish with lightening, giant windmills, power lines with shoes hanging and a larger-than-life beetle poised to devour a very little man. Add to this, all the insane sound affects, women screaming, static and clips from radio shows and music. Make sure to turn the sound on, or miss all the fun.

Still another screen brings the viewer to Jim Carrey's television spots and interviews he's done over the years. Go back to 1993 and watch him on Sesame Street, and later on in years with Conan O'Brien, David Letterman, Jay Leno and Ellen DeGeneres.

Video clips of his earlier years include 20 year old Carrey doing impersonations of Mick Jagger, Jerry Lewis, Jack Nicholson, Henry Fonda, Billie Holiday, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Tom Jones singing and swaying to Delilah.

Jim Carrey was born in Newmarket, Ontario on January 17, 1962 as James Cary. He is best known for his movies; Liar Liar, The Cable Guy, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Me, Myself & Irene, Dumb and Dumber, The Mask and most recently as Scrooge in Disney's 'A Christmas Carol'.
