Who Won Worst Cooks in America? The Food Network Winner is....

Rachel Coleman won the season finale of Food Network's newest reality cooking show, Worst Cooks in America, proving that even the worst cook can bring home the bacon, and a $25,000 grand prize. The season finale aired Monday, February 1, 2010, with Rachel and Jennifer battling for the title of Best Cook in America under the supervision of chefs' Anne Burrell and Beau MacMillan.

Chef Anne Burrell's Red Team contestant Rachel Coleman, 23, a marketing web-site editor from Brooklyn, N.Y., beat out Jennifer Cross, 21, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a waitress for Beau MacMillan's Blue Team. The prize? A whopping $25,000!

Rachel starts off all anxious and a little giddy, "As I entered the tasting room, I'm scared out of my mind. I have no idea what they thought about my food, and these are people that eat for a living."

Judge Karine Bakhoum, restaurant consultant, looks apologetic as she says, "After much difficult deliberation, the winner is, Chef Anne and Chef Rachel." They gasped almost in disbelief and quickly fell into each others arms, close to tears after what seemed like the longest reality cooking show ever for the "Worst Cooks in America".

It's almost impossible for Rachel Coleman to contain her excitement as she exclaims, "When they announced my name, I felt so excited, and I was so proud of myself. I can't believe I had what it took to do this and win this competition. Chef Anne taught me a lot of stuff, but I think the most important thing she taught me was to be confident and have conviction."

Rachel continues, "My hardest challenge was catering the cocktail party. Cooking two things at the same time, in a real short time limit for 35 people was so hard, I felt like I was gonna break down the entire time. But if I believe in myself and try to do something, I can do it. Now that I won, I am so ecstatic. I feel like I've finally proven to everyone, and most importantly myself that I'm an adult, I can take care of myself. That's why I came here. It was a total success."

Congrats Rachel, way to go!
