A Springtime Double-Header At Brandywine Ballet

Frank's Place, featuring the original choreography of Scott Jovovich, Brandywine Ballet Company's Ballet Master, is a homage to love and family via the music of Frank Sinatra and other Big Band contemporaries - made all the more poignant by the inclusion of a song composed by Mr. Jovovich's grandfather, Gerald Duffy, and performed by his brother, Michael Jovovich.

The region's premier ballet company, hot off of back-to-back, sold-out performances of The Nutcracker, marshals in its spring season with not one, but two exciting ballets.

George Balanchine's Concerto Barocco is highly regarded as one of the renowned choreographer's most technically demanding ballets, as well as the epitome of dance finding its counterpart in music. Guest artist, Victoria Simon, repetiteur for the George Balanchine Trust, and first dancer to be personally selected by George Balanchine himself to re-stage his ballets, will set the choreography, wowing local audiences with her highly sought after eye for detail and emphasis on musicality.
