By turns humorous and critical, inspirational and tragic, TRANSactions dispels the myth that Latino people are a heterogeneous group with common experiences and ambitions. This traveling exhibition features approximately 50 works in all media by artists from the United States, Mexico, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Spain, Brazil, Columbia, Argentina and Chile.
TRANSactions: Contemporary Latin American and Latino Art is organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. The exhibition is made possible by the generous contribuitons of MCASD's International Collectors, the City of San Diego's Commission for Arts and Culture, and The James Irvine Foundation.
The exhibition will be on view from October 7 to December 30, 2007.
