McAfee Discussing Security Trends at RSA Conference

McAfee to Educate Attendees on Trends in Malware Development, Vulnerability Reporting and Disclosure, Data Loss Prevention and Enterprise Defense Strategies

McAfee, Inc. today announced that four of its industry experts will be discussing the latest security trends in a host of presentations and panel discussions at the RSA® Conference 2007. In addition, McAfee® representatives will demonstrate leading-edge consumer and business technology solutions focused on risk and compliance, safe surfing and browsing, data loss prevention, messaging and Web security, endpoint security and the latest in threat research from McAfee Avert® Labs at McAfee Booth #1730. Attendees can also learn more about McAfee's policy enforcement solution at the Microsoft Network Access Protection (NAP) Partner Pavilion, Booth #2325.

The RSA Conference, now in its sixteenth year, brings together the world's largest community of information security professionals. The event will be held February 5-9 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

At the event, McAfee will discuss current issues affecting the security industry, including trends in malware development, vulnerability reporting and disclosure and enterprise defense strategies. McAfee speakers and presentations include:

- John Vecchi, director of product marketing for network security at McAfee, will present on a panel titled "On the Defensive: Leading IPS Vendors Discuss Enterprise Defense," on Tuesday, February 6 at 1:30 p.m.

- John Viega, chief architect at McAfee, will present on a panel discussion titled "Vulnerability Reporting & Full Disclosure: The Naked Truth," on Wednesday, February 7 at 10:40 a.m.

- Jeff Green, senior vice president of McAfee Avert Labs and product development at McAfee, will present "Money Change$ Everything: New Motivations & Trends in Malware Development," on Friday, February 9 at 11:10 a.m.

- Carl Banzhof, vice president and chief technology evangelist at McAfee, will present, "Gone Phishing-How to Catch More on the Road with Windows Mobile" on Friday, February 9 at 10:05 a.m.

In addition, Viega, co-author of the "19 Deadly Sins of Software Security" and "Building Secure Software: How to Avoid Security Problems the Right Way," will host a book signing at the RSA Bookstore in the Moscone Center on February 7 from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. George Kurtz, senior vice president of risk management at McAfee, will also host a book signing for his book titled, "HackingExposed," at McAfee booth #1730 - McAfee.
