U.S. Air Force Band Celebrates Three Holidays

Join the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight for an evening of music as they present the "Hearts, Heritage and Heroes Concert" at the National Museum of the United States Air Force, Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. This year's concert showcases various musical selections to celebrate Valentine's Day, President's Day and Black History month.

U.S. Air Force Band Celebrates Three Holidays

Under the command of Lt. Col. Alan Sierichs, the band travels nearly 100,000 miles each year to present over 450 performances before military and civilian audiences. Since its founding in 1942, the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight has performed for presidents and vice presidents, visiting heads of state, cabinet officers, members of congress, U.S. and foreign military leaders, and millions of Americans and foreign citizens.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert is open to the public. No tickets are necessary, but seating is limited to the first 1,200 people. For more information about the concert, call (937) 255-8046, ext. 495. The National Museum of the United States Air Force is located on Springfield Pike, six miles northeast of downtown Dayton. It is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day). Admission and parking are free. -- www.nationalmuseum.af.mil
