Leonardo Da Vinci Lectures At Palm Springs Art Museum

The Palm Springs Art Museum is collaborating with the Palm Springs Air Museum to provide supplemental offerings to the community surrounding the November 2006 through March 2007 Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition. As the Air Museum hosts this extensive exhibition of Leonardo Da Vinci machines that deal with mechanics and flight, the Art Museum offers a series of special guest lectures regarding Da Vinci as a man and an artist with a significantly creative life and legacy.

Special guest speaker Lexie Martone will help audience members discover Da Vinci through two exciting lectures:

Thoughts of Leonardo Da Vinci: February 1, 2007

In the Footsteps of Leonardo Da Vinci: February 8, 2006

Martone is a Da Vinci specialist who often leads the curious to the workshops of Andrea del Verrocchio in Florence, Italy where Da Vinci first studied as well as his final burial place in Amboise, France. She will travel to Palm Springs to share her vast knowledge with the public.

The lectures will take place in the Annenberg Theater at 6 p.m. and cost $5 per lecture. Tickets can be purchased at the door on a first-come first-serve basis. -- www.psmuseum.org
