First Ever iPhone App Powered DJ Battle

iPhone apps aren’t just for personal entertainment these days. For the first time ever, DJs will battle and record music live on their iPods/iPhones at the Voodoo Lounge in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Friday, Nov. 20.

Competing DJs Chris Domingo, Dave Noller and DJ Speechless will face-off using only one or more of the following apps on their iPhones: GrooveMaker FREE, GrooveMaker House, GrooveMaker Techno, GrooveMaker Trance, GrooveMaker Club, GrooveMaker Hip-Hop, GrooveMaker Electro and/or GrooveMaker D’n’B rather than traditional DJ instruments to create music to entertain the attendees.

Breakdancers have been hired to entertain attendees during the “groove” set and the entire show will be recorded using the FourTrack iPhone app.

GrooveMaker allows users to create music using sounds, instruments and special effects for just about every style of music. The FourTrack app is a multitrack audio recorder, allowing users to record music on-the-go in just three steps.

The iPDJ Mobile Grove event kicks off at 10 p.m. All attendees will be entered in a drawing to win iPod/iPhone gadets, among other things.
After the competition, each DJ will his own hour-long set.

The event is sponsored by IK Multimedia GrooveMaker, Sonoma Wire Works and Revolution LIVE Nightclub.
