Quark, the makers of Quark Xpress and Quark Publishing System, announces today the details of its newest product, Quark Promote. The free online product is expected to create roughly 500 new jobs over the next few years.
Quark Promote is a free online publishing and design tool. It’s targeted to help small and mid-sized businesses create professional marketing materials with ease. In a few steps professional-looking brochures, postcards and other materials can be created and then picked up at a nearby printer or delivered in the mail.
Templates have been created so creating consistency across all elements of marketing collateral is simple.
"With over 1 million small businesses online every month looking for this type of service, Quark Promote has the potential to be Quark’s most profitable line of business yet,” the company said in a news release.
Quark estimates Promote will create 500 new jobs in the next three to five years in its corporate headquarters in Denver. Currently Denver is home to roughly 135 Quark employees, about one-third of its global workforce.
There will be a customer support center available via chat or email between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Mountain time Monday through Friday to troubleshoot and walk business owners through the process.
For more than 25 years, Quark has provided publishing software and solutions for customers of all sizes, whether professional designers, small and mid-sized businesses or large organizations. Its flagship product, Quark Xpress, became the world’s most widely used professional page lay-out software. More than 5 billion pages have been produced using Quark’s software.
