Police reports indicated the 36-year-old woman was stopped on a street in Hollywood at approximately 12:40 a.m. Thursday and failed a sobriety test.
She was booked and held at the Hollywood police station until 5:30am when $5,000 bail was posted.
Officer Bruce Borihanh did not have any other details to disclose at this time.
Alexandra Forbes Kerry is the oldest daughter of the 2004 presidential candidate. She has produced some documentaries and acted in a few small roles.
No comment has been provided by Alexandra Kerry’s agent or John Kerry’s office.
California DUI laws have two parts: first, the extent to which the driver was “unable to drive their car with the same caution characteristic of a sober person, of ordinary prudence, under the same or similar circumstances” and second, blood alcohol levels of .08 percent or higher.
