Domino’s Pizza announced Tuesday morning that David A. Brandon, current Chairman and CEO, will be stepping down from his CEO position in March. J. Patrick Doyle will replace Brandon as the CEO of Domino’s Pizza.
Brandon will stay with Domino’s as a special advisor for the duration of 2010 and will be up for re-election to the Board of Directors when his term as Chairman ends in 2012, according to a news release.
“It has been an honor and a privilege to lead Domino's Pizza for the past 11 years. My leadership team, our team members and franchisees are the very best in this - or any - business,” Brandon said in the news release. “I am confident that, under Patrick's leadership, Domino's Pizza will continue to grow and succeed. This company's best days still lie ahead."
Doyle has been with Domino’s since 1997 and served as the president of Domino’s Pizza USA since September 2007.
“I've learned so much from working closely with Dave for these past 11 years, and I am honored and very excited to take on this new challenge and opportunity,” said Doyle in the news release.
Details of Domino’s CEO transition will be finalized in the coming weeks and then voted on at the Feb. 24 Board meeting.
