Massive Graco Stroller Recall due to Amputations and Lacerations

Graco strollers, widely used by U.S. families, are being recalled due to unexpected collapsing. Graco stroller recall includes nearly 1.5 million Duo Tandem and about 143,000 MetroLite Graco units. The collapse, that has triggered the recall, is caused by the faulty latch.

Some of the reported injuries that prompted the stroller recall include amputated fingers and broken bones. See the number of injuries below.

Other similar stroller recalls, like the ones from Graco, due to amputations are nothing new. Just last November, 1 million Maclaren strollers were recalled after 12 children suffered amputations when their fingers were caught in a hinge mechanism. See CPSC.gov for more about this Graco stroller recall.
