Noah's Ark Finding in Turkey, 99.9% Sure It's Real

Model of Noah's Ark in Armenia

Chinese and Turkish Evangelists claim they found Noah's ark on a mountain in Turkey. The wood specimens taken from the ark date the vessel to about 4,800 years old, the age the ark would be today, according to the bible.

Mount Ararat in Turkey has been rumored as the original resting place of the ark making this discovery even more interesting, especially because the find was 4,000m high on the mountain.

"It's not 100 per cent that it is Noah's Ark but we think it is 99.9 percent that this is it," stated Yeung Wing-cheung in The Sydney Morning Herald. Wing-cheung is a member of the team from Noah's Ark Ministries International.

The structure apparently has animal stalls, or wooden compartments, that would be relevant to hosting animals on a boat.

An archaeological dig must be implemented on the site to further investigate the origins of the structure. The bible does state in Genesis that the ark ended up resting on a mountain when the flood waters receded.

Whether a natural wood boat from almost 5,000 years ago could survive the wear and tear of the centuries has yet to be seen. The "ice man" in Northern Italy was discovered to be around 5,000 years old and many of his items were still in tact, but him and his belongings were frozen in ice.
