Bristol Palin has caught the acting bug. The famous teen mom, and daughter of former vice presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, is set to make a guest appearance on the ABC sitcom, "The Secret Life of the American Teenager". This will mark her acting debut.

Palin, who is 19-years old, will play herself on the program, which chronicles the life of a teenage mom. The main character, Amy Juergens (played by Shailene Woodley) finds herself unexpectedly pregnant in the show’s first season. The following seasons explore Amy’s relationship with friends, family and school as she navigates life as a young mother.

Bristol Palin, perhaps America’s most famous teen mother, will not have to strain her acting muscles too much for the series. According to ABC, the storyline has Bristol befriending Juergens at a music program for teen moms.

The episode will shoot in Los Angeles and air this summer as part of the series’ third season. "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC. It costars Molly Ringwald, India Eisley, and Mark Derwin.

Bristol isn’t the only Palin going Hollywood. Sarah Palin recently made news for her million dollar plus deal with Discovery network for an eight-part TV documentary called “Sarah Palin’s Alaska”. She also currently works as a commentator for the conservative Fox News Channel.

Bristol’s ‘baby-daddy’ Levi Johnston is pitching his own reality series as well. He says it will follow his dating exploits in Alaska: “I’m kinda planning to like, you know, date. Bring’em back to Alaska, see if they can hang and find a new love.”
