National Snow Sculpting Competition in Lake Geneva Wisconsin

The National Snow Sculpting Competition is taking place in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin on February, 6 -7, 2010 in Rivera Park. Lake Geneva is a popular vacation getaway destination within driving distance for people in the Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee Wisconsin areas.

Family friendly activities in Lake Geneva this weekend include children's activities, helicopter rides, music and more downtown. The Mountain Top, an annual event at Grand Geneva Resort, is featuring skiing demonstrations, a torchlight parade and fireworks.

Snow sculptors are creating works of art from blocks of snow, getting ready for a weekend of family friendly activities in downtown Lake Geneva. Riviera Park is on the shore of Lake Geneva, making it a pleasure place to enjoy talking a walk along the beach and breathe the fresh air.

Festivities start at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 6, 2010. Family friendly activities on Saturday include music, sing-a-longs, children's sculpting wagon rides, helicopter rides, hot air balloon rides and sleigh on wheel rides. The U.S. National Snow Sculpting Awards Presentation will take place at 3 PM on Saturday.

The snow sculptures will be on display all day on Sunday. There will also be music adding to the festive event. Stores in Lake Geneva will give out prizes and giveaways, along with in store activities.

The Grand Geneva Resort will hold the annual The Mountain Top event, which goes from 10 am – 8 pm this upcoming Saturday. The Mountain Top event includes ski school and ski patrol demonstrations, snowboarding and skiing competitions and children's games and activities. At the end of the day there will be a torch light parade and a 'Grand Fireworks' display at 8 PM.

The unique family activities in Lake Geneva this weekend make it a great destination for people within driving distance to southeastern Wisconsin.
