Nickelodeon Honors Michelle Obama and Launches Big Help

Nickelodeon's 23rd Annual Kids' Choice Awards, being broadcast on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 8:00 PM ET is honoring First Lady Michelle Obama with the Big Help Award, in recognition of the Let's Move campaign that was launched in February, 2010.

The Let's Move campaign is an initiative spearheaded by Michelle Obama to conquer childhood obesity in one generation. Childhood obesity is a health risk factor that affects the quality of life and longevity. The campaign brings public awareness to the health hazard presented by childhood obesity and educates the public about ways to counteract the scary trend.

Along with the Big Help Award to First Lady Michelle Obama, Nickelodeon is launching The Big Help 'Millions On The Move' pro-social campaign. Nickelodeon is supporting the Let's Move campaigns with public service announcements and special programming on its channels and websites.

Nickelodeon's Big Help website launches on March 27, 2010. The Big help website offers resources and tools in support of the health campaign, along with games and information. As kids complete real-world projects, they can collect points and rewards online, and engage with other participants in The Big Help virtual community,

The Big Help "Millions on the Move" campaign will highlight four different areas this year, including education, environment and health and wellness.
