After taking home four Grammys and being crowned the youngest performer to win the Album of the Year award, Taylor Swift definitely isn't going home. The singer has now officially surpassed pop queen Britney Spears for record digital download sales by a female artist with her appropriately titled song, "Today Was a Fairytale".
The track, which comes from Swift's upcoming flick Valentine's Day, beat out Britney's beat single, "Womanizer", which sold 286,000. Swift stole the #1 spot with sales reaching 325,000.
According to MTVNews.com, the record download sales mark the highest debut for Swift and proves to be as much of a hit as her last big single, "You Belong With Me".
In addition to being filmed alongside some of Hollywood's most famous faces, Taylor Swift will be set next to teen hottie Taylor Lautner in the Valentine's Day movie set to hit the big screen on February 12, 2010.
