Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton have campaigned for the first time together for the Democratic Party, in the town of Unity in New Hampshire. Mr Obama said that he was proud to be able to call Ms Clinton a friend and added that the Democratic Party and the United States needed both her and her husband Bill Clinton. For her part, Ms Clinton said that US citizens must vote for Mr Obama if they want to see changes.
As thanks for Ms Clinton's support for his campaign, Mr Obama and his wife have both made a contribution to her campaign costs. They each wrote a cheque for 2,300 dollars, the maximum individual contribution permitted. - By Radio Netherlands, Copyright.
