Justin Bieber Fans Post Death Threats Against Selena Gomez

Justin Bieber has a multitude of devoted fans, many of whom follow him on Twitter. Some of them might be a little possessive. Some a little protective. Others might be described as obsessed. And then there are those that might fit all three descriptors. Those individuals might issue death threats to people like Selena Gomez.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have been something of a tabloid item since TMZ and BauerGriffinOnline posted photos of the couple showing obvious signs of affection while on vacation in the Caribbean in December. The 18-year-old Disney star began receiving death threats shortly thereafter. It got worse when an Internet rumor alleged that she was pregnant with Bieber's baby. The furor of the 17-year-old Bieber's fans seemed to subside for a while, but when photos of the two having fun in Hawaii surfaced, Bieber fans, as TMZ and AceShowbiz have revealed, went back to Twitter and Facebook with more death threats...

Some of the more printable Twitter postings were offered at TMZ: "I'll kill you I swear on GOD!!!!" and "If you are the Girlfriend of Justin I will Kill you I HATE YOU :@ !!!"

AceShowbiz.com revealed still more. "Selena Gomez is dangerously close to a long, slow painful death," one wrote. "I'm gonna kill ya in the night underneath your smell bed," wrote another.

Although speculation had run rampant that Bieber and Gomez had been dating, they denied a romantic link for months and maintained publicly that they are "just friends." But denial seems to have been tossed to the wayside as music fans witnessed a full-on kiss between the two at the Billboard Music Awards, where Bieber won six trophies, and the trip to Hawaii took the relationship to an entirely new level of public shows of affection.

It also brought out those possessive obsessive Twitter and Facebook zealots...

The fanaticism of Justin Bieber fans is well known and documented. But the most bizarre instance of his fans issuing death threats may have come after he posted a picture of himself and then 29-year-old Kim Kardashian to Twitter. He captioned the picture: "Look its my girlfriend."

Like Gomez, Kardashian was labeled a pedophile by many of the irate fans. Kardashian, who had met the then 16-year-old Bieber only weeks before at the White House Correspondence Dinner in Washington, D. C., in 2010, fired off a seemingly amused post to Bieber: "I'm getting death threats from your fans! This is unBeliebable!!!"

Bieber calmed his fans by telling them it was just a joke.

Although the matter eventually died down, Kardashian couldn't help but tweak the overly invested Bieber fanatics by showing up at the premiere of her jewelry line with a t-shirt emblazoned with "Mrs. Bieber."

Actress/singer Selena Gomez and her band, The Scene, are set to release the follow-up album to her gold sophomore album, "A Year Without Rain." The new album, "When The Sun Goes Down," is scheduled for a June release date.

Justin Bieber's latest album, "Never Say Never -- The Remixes," was released in February. It has since been certified platinum.

Why do people have to be so mean with the two? They are perfect for eachother and all the girls out there posting death threats will probably not even have a chance with Justin so why bother threatning two celebrities who are so talented? I know im only 13 but I have alot to say about this! It makes me so angry. Justin and Selena: I hope you guys stay true to yourselves with all this drama and keep doing what you do best!
