Steve Phillips first mistress Rosa Rodriguez surfaces

Prior to the Steve Phillips and Brooke Hundley scandal the ESPN analyst was also involved in another affair. In 1998, Phillips was the general manager for the New York Mets and his tryst with Mets employee Rosa Rodriguez made sports headlines. Rodriguez filed sexual harassment suit against Steve Phillips back in 1998, which ultimately led to him resigning from his position as Mets general manager.

According to a report in the New York Daily News, Rosa Rodriguez found her way in front of photographers on Thursday morning. She offered no comments about the seamy scandal that has Steve Phillips life amidst yet another infidelity crisis. However, she did seem to enjoy getting her picture taken.

"Just make sure the photos are good," she said before driving off from her Long Island home.

For a brief time in 1998, Phillips took a leave of absence as general manager of the Mets because of allegations of sexual harassment filed by Mets employee Rosa Rodriguez. He admitted to consensual sex with the Rodriguez, as well as multiple other affairs, but denied harassment and the civil suit was settled out of court. Phillips was away from the team for a total of 8 days. At the time, the Mets defended Phillips privately and publicly. He was fired from his position with the Mets in 2003.

Steve Phillips, currently an ESPN baseball analyst, announced his leave of absence from ESPN this week due to his affair with a production assistant that turned ugly.

"I am deeply sorry that I have put my family and colleagues through this," Phillips said in a statement, adding he wanted to "avoid any unnecessary distractions through the balance of the baseball playoffs."

Steve Phillips seems to take a leave of absence when the stories of his infidelities hit the news. His past affairs, including the one he had with Rosa Rodriguez in 1998, were not enough to keep Phillips free and clear of more personal problems. His current situation with 22 year old Brooke Hundley has caused him to take a leave from ESPN during baseball playoffs. There is no word from ESPN as to the disciplinary action that Steve Phillips will receive.

Rosa works at my job!!! I just recently found out yesterday that this was HER because one of my coworkers was saying that she was supposed to be getting money for a car from a lawsuit, and then muttered of that "She sues everyone, haven't you seen the her." And so today I did and I came across this. She has a lot of attitude at work. I guess she thinks she's someone of importance now -__-
