In the last 10 to 15 years Evanston, IL has changed its zoning laws and now allows large high rise buildings to be constructed in the downtown area. Also Northwestern University has greatly expanded. Along with this brings many unique and interesting stores, a wide variety of wonderful restaurants that would satisfy anyone and unlimited choices of entertainment. Now as a Realtor I see all different types of people becoming interested in Evanston, IL.
We are getting single people who want to live in Evanston because there is so much to do as well as couples with children because the schools are so good. As a homeowner and a person who has seen these changes take place it is something to really enjoy. I used to be able to name all the places to dine and now there are new ones popping up all the time. Often we find no need to leave town and enter the city of Chicago because everything we need is all here.
Take that and the excellent public transportation with the Metra and EL trains and Evanston, IL is a winner. You can get to downtown Chicago in about 20 minutes and all points between. Evanston is also the home to Northwestern University and many students become interested in the town for their studies. I feel excited just telling you about our great town of Evanston, IL.
If you ever want to know more about the town I love and live in please let me know and I can be your Evanston IL Ambassador.
