Hi,
I have a HP pavillion DV6000 series and have a problem with sound. If I plug in my headphones into the jack I can hear clearly. If I remove the headphones I have no sound out of the laptop. I have remove the speakers in the laptop and have tested them (They still work.I have checked all the setting to ensure nothing is muted and ensured that the laptop speakers have been selected in the software. I believe that it may be a faulty headphone jack. When pluged additional speakers there is sound, remove them and no sound out of the laptop speakers.
Please can assist me to some guidance to resolve this miserable problem.
