Citizen journalism plays a powerful role in spreading democracy and knowledge throughout the world. It is so good to see many people taking their cameras or mobile phones and sending images and text and reporting the news as it happens in front of their eyes, thus informing the public, the world audience about what's happening.
It is especially wonderful to see young journalism students conducting successful internship not only in traditional, but also in alternative media outlets such as our media HULIQ.com powering citizen journalism.
Today we welcome our intern Ian McGuffick that has successfully been conducting internship in journalism for an academic creadit since October of 2007. Ian is senior at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.
Ian has a great passion for journalism and believes in the ideals of the professions. "Journalism has become much more than a career goal for me, it is my life passion. Call me an idealist, but I'm still ready to believe that the work of responsible, courageous, journalists can, and maybe will, change this country for the better. It is for this reason that I've chosen to work in the media," says McGuffick.
Welcome Ian, our hope is that with sincere efforts of people like you HULIQ will build a strong global team of citizen journalism with a goal to report the news for the global audience.
