Many retirees often find solace in relocating to a new home, country or city after retirement. It is often for many reasons than one. Mostly, to settle somewhere where they can enjoy the comforts of life, be close to nature, their loved ones, and relax for the rest of their lives after years of hard work.
Most homeowners prefer hardwood flooring, especially for the main level. This is especially true for new home buyers, younger buyers and wealthier buyers. When selecting new hardwood, there are a bunch of factors to consider in terms of species, type and color.
Most real estate agents are independent contractors and don't get paid unless they close on a sale or rent a property. Selling real estate can be a satisfying career with lots of rewards both financial and for personal achievement. If you work hard as an agent you will generally become successful, that is if you can work with ready, willing and able buyers and know when to table those that are not.
Buyers are usually excited and anxious to get into their new house. At the same time, they often want to "fix things up" to make the house into their home. Sometimes, this is just a matter of cleaning and painting. Often, they want to sand and refinish the floors (or even replace them...or add hardwood to sections). Sometimes, they need to replace the dirty and smelly carpets. Other times, they have grandiose plans to remodel the whole kitchen. It's important for buyers to plan ahead on these projects.
Performing an inspection of a property that has been modified from original plans can have all sorts of issues from wiring, to roofing, to structural, to improper additions, to the weird end of the scale such as marijuana grow rooms, major threats to safety and health, and underground bomb shelters.
As a Realtor I really enjoy helping first time buyers find their new home or condo. I get a good feeling out of being the trusted Buyers Agent who makes the client feel comfortable with the transaction.
Buying isn't for everybody even though as a real estate agent I prefer working with buyers 10 to 1 over working with renters. It's not that I don't like renters, it's just that I get much more satisfaction in selling houses. There are many reasons people don't want to buy or can't buy.
There is so much information on the internet about everything you could possibly want to know. When it comes to buying a home, buyers start searching on the internet 6-8 months before they expect to be ready to buy. Buyers do not want to be stupid when it comes to buying a home.
