Last week the Denver Broncos started out on fire against the Washington Redskins. Quarterback Kyle Orton threw two early first quarter touchdowns to Brandon Marshall, and it looked like the Broncos would roll to victory. However, later in the game Orton sprained his ankle and missed the rest of the contest.

It's hard to imagine a pitcher with a 15-7 record winning the National League Cy Young award, yet the San Francisco Giants' Tim Lincecum has done just that. In fact, it's his second consecutive Cy Young award, placing him among the elite of all-time, despite his young age, 25.

Stefanie Spielman, wife of former Ohio State University and NFL linebacker Chris Spielman, has died. She was only 42, and died after a long fight against cancer.

CLE QB Brady Quinn's cheap shot has earned him a fine. The incident, which occurred during Monday night's NFL game between Quinn's Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens will keep Ravens' DL Terrell Suggs out of Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

After Tom Brady's knee injury last year, the NFL instituted the "Brady Rule" that protects QBs against below-the-knee tackles. Brady Quinn, QB of the Cleveland Browns apparently thought it was named after him, and gave him a free shot against the Baltimore Ravens' DL, Terrell Suggs. At least, that's what many are doing, calling this a Brady Quinn's cheap shot.

The top eight teams stayed put in the BCS Rankings Week 12. The first change in this week's top 25 BCS ranked teams occurs at number 9, where Pittsburgh jumped from 12 to 9. Former number 9 USC dropped all the way to 18 after being destroyed by Stanford.

Michelle Wie, once thought to be an up-and-coming Tiger Woods of the LPGA, has finally won her first LPGA tournament. She didn't win it in the U.S., however; she won the Lorena Ochoa Invitational in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Sunday's Rock n' Roll San Antonio Marathon (and Half Marathon) was only the second ever, but the crowd was rockin' n' rollin' nonetheless. More than 31,000 runners and walkers, from all 50 states and 23 countries, registered to participate. San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro participated in the Marathon, as well.

Tiger Woods won the Australian Masters on Sunday making this his seventh victory for 2009. In Woods' first trip to Australia in 11 years, he put on a great show for his $3 million appearance fee. Woods led throughout the tournament, and finished with a total of 14-over par to win by two shots from home hope Greg Chalmers.

In today's FIFA's World Cup qualifiers Cameroon vs Morocco game is over where Cameroon leads the way 2:0. In Moscow another heated game is nearing conclusion where Russia is earning its right to go to South Africa next year to participate in FIFA's World Cup 2010.

Chad Ochocinco's $1 bribe will cost the Cincinnati Bengals receiver $20,000 after the National Football League fined him for conduct that was "unprofessional and unbecoming an NFL player." Ochocinco isn't stressing about his fine. In fact, he's matching it and making a donation to a worthy cause.
