On May 15 at 7:30 pm the Pinckney School Orchestras and the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra will celebrate the first Livingston County high school orchestra program with second annual side-by-side concert at Jane Tasch Theater.

Maestro Arie Lipsky and the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra (A2SO) present a celebratory season 80 years in the making—"The Fine Art of Music" featuring some of the world's best-known composers, music of the ages, and performances by local world-class performers. Concertgoers will enjoy Saturday evening and Sunday family concerts filled with emotion, power, majesty and excitement.

Children's imaginations take flight through music and movement! The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra sponsors free of charge, interactive concerts for kids ages two through five in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti: April 25 in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Downtown Branch of the Ann Arbor District Library at 9:30 and 10:30 am. and May 2 at the Ypsilanti District Library, 5577 Whittaker Rd. at 10 and 11 am.

On May 14 at 2:00 pm at the Jewish Community Center (2935 Birch Hollow Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48108, 734-971-0990), the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra (A2SO) will host a performance of music for the French Horn. Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra's French Horn Principal Andrew Pelletier will be joined by guest Christina Laberge on the piano for a program of Saint-Saëns, Corelli and Loeillet.

On April 16th at 2:00 pm at the Jewish Community Center the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra will host a performance with its Music Director and other local players. Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra Music Director Arie Lipsky will play cello with A2SO Concertmaster Aaron Berofsky, A2SO Acting Associate Concertmaster Kathryn Votapek, and UM violin professor Yohonatan Berrick.

The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra brings its 2007-2008 season to a close with La Traviata on Friday, April 18 in the Michigan Theater at 8 pm. The concert is the second of two this season in which audience members will be part of a live recording that will become the first commercially available Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra CD on the Naxos label.

The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra announced that its conductor, Arie Lipsky, will appear in concert for Saline High School musicians on March 27 at 6 pm and 8 pm at Saline High School.

The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra continues its 2007-2008 season with Latin Fire on Saturday, March 8 in the Michigan Theater at 8 pm. The concert is cosponsored by Bank of Ann Arbor and Kaydon.

The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra Dickinson Wright Family Series presents Carnival of the Animals on March 9, 2008 in the Michigan Theater at 4 pm. The concert is cosponsored by Borders and A. Michael and Remedios Montalbo Young. The concert showcases students from the award-winning slam poetry from Ann Arbor's Neutral Zone to the two student pianists playing Camille Saint-Saens' Carnival of the Animals.

On March 12 at the Jewish Community Center, the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra will host a performance by cellist Sarah Cleveland and pianist Michele Cooker, playing the J. Brahms' Sonata in F and the JS Bach Gamba Sonata in D major among others.
