This just shows how things have changed. In the past we'd be salivating over Dell deals, or HP deals, but now it's Mac deals that grab people's attention. Both MacMall and Best Buy are starting their "Black Friday" sales early.

UK media is reporting that UK's Advertising Standards Authority has banned iPhone 3G ads due to false browsing speed. Apple's iPhone's TV ad is banned due to the fact that is is misleading the consumers about its internet speed capabilities.

The iPhone has drawn a lot a lot of attention from consumers --- and plaintiffs. The latest lawsuit to be filed against Apple's immensely popular device was filed on Monday by law firm Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro (JMBM) on the behalf of EMG Technology, LLC against Apple Inc. in the District Court for the Eastern District of Texas in the Tyler Division.

Yep, Apple released the 2.2 version of the iPhone software today, as expected, and it's big. And by big I don't mean just feature-wise, but size-wise. For comparison's sake, the 2.1 update was 237.8 MB; this one is 246.4 MB.

Now, I find this to be an awful cute dog toy (coming from someone who owns two dogs and an iPhone 3G). And who am I to deprive my dogs of a state-of-the-art dog toy such as the iBone. However, knowing Apple, it places this company right the their sights, lawsuit-wise.
