In 2006, a multidisciplinary Academy team traveled to the Philippines to research the new Academy's 212,000-gallon coral reef display. Using stunning underwater imagery, Terry Gosliner will describe the diversity of the Philippine reefs and discuss his past research there.

The 8th annual Robert Bateman Writing and Art Contest launched today at the Vancouver Aquarium with a lively painting tutorial from local artist 'Rogest' and a creative writing workshop from 'Lolo' of the children's duo Bobs and Lolo with Grade 7 students from Vancouver's General Wolfe Elementary. The new Aquarium at the Horniman Museum has been long-listed for the prestigious Gulbenkian Prize for museums and galleries. The Gulbenkian Prize is, at £100,000, Britain's largest single arts prize and is awarded each year to one museum or gallery.

A big chill will soon sweep through the Tennessee Aquarium when the latest addition opens in May of 2007. A group of penguins are going to waddle their way into Chattanooga and thrill Aquarium visitors with their lively antics.
